Registration/Advising Process
Each student has been assigned a Faculty Advisor. The role of your advisor is to advise you on the more technical academic questions you may have about a particular subject, as well as advise you on the courses you will need to take in the future. These courses will coincide with the flowchart for your program.
Approximately 10 weeks into the semester, the schedule of classes for the following semester will be distributed. Once you have decided on which classes you wish to take, you will fill out a registration form and meet with your advisor. Your advisor will review the courses that you wish to take and advise you of any changes that need to be made. Once he has signed your registration form, you can register for classes either online via PAWS or at the Registration Center. All faculty will post their office hours outside their doors. If, however, you cannot meet with your advisor during these times, please contact him by phone or email to schedule a time. This also applies if you are encountering any problems in your courses. The faculty want to see you succeed and will do everything they can to help. |
