ALUMNI FORUM

This page presents information on the types of jobs of our graduates as well as the companies and universities they are working for. It also serves as a forum for our graduates to exchange and share with us updates on their personal and professional development. We have been receiving and always welcome such news from our alumni; we will post it on this page only when we are asked to do so. OUR ALUMNI IN GRADUATE STUDIES

Twenty-four of our graduates were admitted for chemical engineering graduate studies in our department from 1985 to 2005 (16 of them from fall 1997 to fall 2005). Other graduates of our department pursued chemical engineering graduate degrees (M.S. or Ph.D) at other universities, such as:

OUR ALUMNI EMPLOYERS

The following is a list of companies that have employed or are currently employing graduates of the Florida Tech chemical engineering program.

The 170 employers listed above have offered a total of 217 jobs to our alumni. Of those, 156 were offered in specified U.S. locations,distributed as follows:

• 63 in Florida (21 of them at the Kennedy Space Center and another 17 in Melbourne and Cocoa)
• 7 in Georgia
• 9 in other SE States
• 39 in the NE United States
• 20 in Texas
• 11 in California
• 2 in other NW States
• 8 in other SW States
• 2 in Hawai

Alissa R. Ackley
"I've been living in Schwetzingen Germany since April 1996. The Army has me working as the Executive Officer for the 503rd Chemical Detachment. For some reason they thought this might have something to do with my degree in chemical engineering. Danielle Reed (1996) and I have been doing tons of traveling around Europe trying to take advantage of all the opportunities we have while stationed over here. The rest of the time I live a quiet life with my old kitty, Max. I should be returning to the States in May 1998."
